Yes, the 2nd generation Somfy thermostat is a good option for underfloor heating (the 1st generation thermostat is not compatible with underfloor heating).

As the Somfy thermostat automatically takes the outside temperature, solar gains, wind and your house insulation into account in order to ensure the best possible use of your heating source (including underfloor heating).

Since hydraulic underfloor heating is a type of high-inertia system, we suggest that you:

  • Select an "Absent" temperature 1 to 2 degrees below the "At home" temperature.
  • Select a minimum time window of 5 hours when you select a new temperature, to minimize energy needs.

You can manage up to 20 different thermostats with one Connected Thermostat app account. This allows you to manage your heating in several homes for example.
